Mind in Context, PLLC
Understanding the whole picture. Creating meaningful change.
About Mind in Context
At Mind in Context, we believe people make more sense when we look at the whole picture. The thoughts we think, the ways we respond, the relationships we build, and the things we struggle to understand about ourselves rarely exist in isolation. Our experiences, relationships, environments, and histories all shape the way we move through the world. I'm Alysen Ralstin, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and I created Mind in Context because I wanted to build a practice around this belief. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply individualized—not interested in putting people into boxes or following rigid formulas.
Good therapy requires both compassion and curiosity—the willingness to really understand a person while being honest enough to ask the questions that lead to change. I've worked with people navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, family and relationship dynamics, life transitions, and lingering effects of experiences they may not have fully understood. Sometimes therapy means learning practical tools to make today easier. Sometimes it means looking beneath the surface to understand why the same patterns keep showing up. Most often, it's a combination of both. Through therapy, clinical supervision, and mental health education, my goal is to create spaces where people feel seen, understood, challenged, and empowered.
